Terms and conditions for the Moona Symptom Diary

The Moona application (hereinafter ”application”) is maintained by the Gynaecological Patient Association Korento.

By registering into the service, you confirm that you accept the terms and conditions below.

If you are under 16 years old, you must have your guardian’s permission for using the application.

Use and protection of personal data

The application can be used for monitoring one’s menstrual cycle and related symptoms. In order to use the application, the user must create a user account. The application is used by logging health-related personal data. By accepting these terms and conditions, you give your consent for this data being used in the application.

The application’s back end system is protected by advanced protection techniques, and a secure connection is used for information exchange. Using the system requires a username and password, and the data can only be used by administrators and developers authorized by Korento, as well as the back end system’s service provider personnel as far as is necessary for the functioning of the service. Data may be processed and stored outside the European Union. Data may be used for developing the application and fixing errors.

Data will not be disclosed to any third parties without separate permission from the user. For those users who are using the application as part of their digital treatment path or healthcare research, information is only disclosed to parties in the healthcare industry agreed with the user in advance.

Availability and guarantee

The application may be unavailable from time to time, and its functionality may also be temporarily hindered by errors, maintenance work, and factors out of our control. There are no guarantees for the functionality, availability or performance of the application, and the application’s administrator is not liable for any damages arising out of the use of the application and related problem situations. We do not guarantee the availability and functionality of the application for all devices. The application’s functions may be edited and can be removed without a separate notification.

Costs of using the application

In order to function, the application needs an internet connection. The user is responsible for data transfer costs and any other fees related to using the application.

Credentials and access right

The username and password created for using the application are personal and must not be disclosed to a third party. The user is responsible for all application use occurring with the username in question. The user is not allowed to copy or edit the application or process the application’s source code in any other ways.

Changes to the terms and conditions

We may change these terms and conditions at any time, including the edition, exclusion and/or inclusion of any section. If we make any substantial changes to these terms and conditions, we will inform the user by sending an e-mail to the address provided by the user.
